Do airports have wireless internet?
October 12, 2008
I'm going to Phoenix Arizona to visit my aunt and uncle from Maine a week from today and m going by plane. I am bringing my laptop and was wondering if they had wireless internet at airports so I could go on my laptop and check my myspace and yahoo answers? Also do they allow laptop plug in chargers in your luggage or is it not allowed?
Yes most of the larger airports certainly do. Some are free, but most have a subscriber service such as Boingo. You can pay for a 1 day pass for about $7.00 US and it will let you use it for 24 hours. You can usually pick up the signal anywhere in the airport but some areas are stronger reception depending on were you are in proximity to the signal and how strong the signal is. Pretty easy stuff! Yes TSA and the FAA and the carriers allow laptop plug in chargers in your luggage. You can check it in your checked bag, or take it on the airplane in your carry on.

My laptop is attached to my body it seems. I fly a great deal with the laptop…have used wireless connections at most of the larger airports and many regional airports.
Happy Travels and enjoy your visit with Aunt and Uncle.
