How do I get my FAA Pilots License re-issued when I am over-seas?

Hello All:

I am an FAA ATP Pilot who recently obtained my CE525 Type Rating. My situation put me in a class where my Temporary Airmen’s Certificate is issued by the Designated Examiner with a “25 Hours Supervised Operating Experience Limitation.” Recently, I surpassed this 25 hour requirement. If I was in The States I could easily go down to my local FSDO, present my logbook and they would issue me another temp airmen cert without the limitation. However, currently I am flying over-seas and I don’t plan to come back to the United States for at least a year.

Does anyone out there with some serious aviation experience know if there is a place in the Middle East where I can find an FAA guy or gal to re-issue my temp airmen cert? I hear rumor that some of these flight schools over here conduct FAA training, they do FAA check rides and they issue FAA licenses – if this truly is the case (which is also part of my question) can they audit my logbook and re-issue my cert minus the limitation?

    I think you should be able to find a FAA approved training center or trainer in the middle east.
    My guess would be that if you go to one of them they will either be able to help you or point you to the right person to get it done.
    Given the fact that you’re currently flying there why don’t you go to the local flightschool or -club and ask it there? Many countries have FAA trainers because a lot of people want a FAA license (especially private) for they have slightly lighter rules concerning single-pilot operations and medical requirements.
