what is the closest airport by avondale arizona?

as everyone else said sky harbor is the closest major airport.

if you are looking to fly a small plane, goodyear airport is closest

    If you're looking for the major airline International airport, it is Sky Harbor in Phoenix. If you're looking for a small airport to fly your small private plane, I believe Deer Valley Airport in North Phoenix might be the closest option.

    actually, there is an airport is Glendale as well, but it is about the same size as Deer Valley Airport. But if you need a major airport, you need Sky Harbor.

    Sky Harbor international (PHX) is the biggie in the area. Phoenix – Mesa Gateway Airport (IWA) is expanding and has large jet service. . . Glendale is for smaller plane traffic

    The closest civilian airport is Sky Harbor International Airport.
