FAA bans the Shorline Transition thru LAX

December 15, 2008

After the midair collison of a GA airplane and the Mexican airliner coming into LAX, the FAA did the usual beauracratic knee-jerk reaction of banning the shoreline transition so desperatly needed by banner tow pilots to pass by LAX. The reasons they gave were so aburd as beyond any intelligence other than the Imperor of Japan saying “there will be no small plane accidents” and thus all prospective Japanese pilots have to come to the U.S. for pilot training because there are NO GA airports in Japan.
