I saw one of these things many years ago at Archerfield in Brisbane. I remember then thinking what great acceleration it had on the takeoff roll – not as good as my C172 of course!!

Just read an interview with a pilot from the Vietnam war era about the Dragonfly. Incredible stories – read it in “Air Combat an Oral History”. Great book, awesome personal accounts of air combat from WWII to present.

They aren’t in service….it’s a jet warbird from the Temora Aviation Museum.

I used to watch …
I used to watch these planes land at willow grove air base in 86,87. Thanks for posting. Didn’t think they were used anymore except outside the country.
