I haven’t hiked all the trails on this map but you could with the information on it. A guidebook would also be useful in selecting which trails and when to go, but this map, a compass and an altimeter and you won’t be lost.

What I liked most about the map besides being easy to read is that it’s printed on coated paper so it will survive the rain. And it has the elevation gains for the trails over distance so you can see if a particular trail is too much for you before you go.

What it is missing is a compass rose for orienting it to true North. (with the necessary magnetic delineation.) In these days of GPS it’s not as necessary but if you are working with only a compass it would be nice, and is on all USGS maps.

Recommended for Mt biking and hiking in the Flagstaff area. Does not cover the Grand Canyon which is too far North for this map.
