  7. cwo44 on June 26th, 2010 10:45 pm

At my FBO Its about 189 + Fuel

  8. jnjoblon on June 26th, 2010 11:03 pm

It depends on how fast you learn but in my state (PA) it comes to about $6000 for a Private Pilots Licence last time I checked.
Again, could be a little more or less depending on your area and how fast you catch on to everything.

  9. MegaCessna172 on June 26th, 2010 11:32 pm

how much did it cost for you to get your pilots license?

  10. DirectTech on June 27th, 2010 12:03 am

Nice. The one thing I want to point out is that you didn’t check your alternator system/low warning light.

    Fly fast.

  12. paintballdude518 on June 27th, 2010 12:34 am

yeah same at mine…where you fly out of?

  13. ThunderHead72 on June 27th, 2010 12:36 am

I’d have to agree with this. Aircraft batteries are notoriously pathetically under-powered for the task, and there is barely enough power to crank the engine over at the best of times. I am a Canadian pilot, I totally sympathise with the cold weather, ha!! I liked this video, when I start back up in the flying world again I’ll be sure to post another flying video. Happy flying bigguy6100!! You too Crane63091…

At the FBO where I rent it, its $120 an hour fuel included.

  15. thrasher467 on June 27th, 2010 1:48 am

how much does it cost to take it out for like a 1 hour flight?

  16. Crane63091 on June 27th, 2010 2:44 am

    Ahhh. I see. Very true.

  17. bigguy6100 on June 27th, 2010 3:19 am

I believe it was a 1982 P model. Alot of times i dont use the parking brake, but I figured I would, since usually being distracted by a camera isnt part of my start sequence lol.

  18. Crane63091 on June 27th, 2010 3:29 am

As a Private pilot flying in New England, I know how it feels flying in the cold. ha ha.

Anyway, using the parking brake on start-up could be detrimental to the brake wear. Just use the toe brakes manually. Also, try priming before turning on your master, as to not burn out the fan if you are suddenly distracted in the middle of your prime sequence. Just a few things I noticed from pilot to pilot. Nice 172 though. What year?
