Deer Creek Park Flying

July 7, 2010

Annie our greenwing macaw just got back in her flight feathers and realized she could fly again. Inara our catalina macaw came into our lives already with her wings clipped but she still remembers flying and will fly again. It was awesome to see our Annie fly again. We are working on recall training with her now. In this video both birds are wearing the aviater harness.

So that harness is keeping them from getting away? I would be so afraid of them getting scared from something and just taking off…even if they would be recall trained…you just can never tell what they would do. They are just georgeous birds though…congrats on the beauties! 🙂

Beautiful! I would love to have a large Macaw someday. Currently have a Red Breasted Black-Capped Lory, a Dusky-Headed Conure and a Sun Conure living with us. Check out their videos. 😀

Those are Beautiful birds. We let our Hahns wings grow out during the winter so he can fly in the house, but we do clip them during the summer so she can come outside with us, and play on her tree. We wont leave her by herself ever, just incase a predator does come by. Thanks for the comment.
