Catalinbread DLS Second Demo – Stacking

September 3, 2010

Here’s the Catalinbread Dirty Little Secret stacked with three of my current favorite dirt boxes. With a little tweaking it seems to love all of them. I ran the DLS at 18v for more headroom and better dynamics. It runs great at 9v after having tried it at 18v I can never go back. Give it a shot. Recorded with my Brierley Handwound Pickups loaded Clapton Strat and the Laney VC50 2×12. I stuck a bit of ‘verb on at the end to give it some space (IK Multimedia CSR Vintage Plate). Links:

    How about an overdrive going into a fuzz? Would that work?

    @asskickingchicken10 Right. 🙂

    I’m lookin for a pedal to boost my fuzz to higher gain and output craziness. This should do the trick right?

    @Burgerman666 Alright, thanks!

    @29396 Yep. It’s a great pedal. I don’t think you’ll find too many people that don’t dig that one. It’s very friendly. 🙂

    does the blues pro stack well with other pedals in general?

    nice demo by the way!

    Heheh. I don’t own any Zvex pedals at all, unfortunately. One day.. Yes I have my own brand. Google DvK Technologies. Thanks for watching!

    Wow, that’s kind, thank you! I like CB’s demos though. Howard is a pretty mean player. 🙂 Cheers.

    I think it’s safe to say your demo of the DLS is better than ones made by Catalinbread themselves. Heard every other demo and I just didn’t get why everyone raved about this pedal..Well now I know..This seems to have wider tonal palette than the BB Preamp…5 stars as always…Cheers !!!

    Fine. Not as noisy as jacking something old school like a fuzz into it, that’s for sure. The DLS is a quiet pedal. 🙂

    Dude you do some of the best demos on youtube.

    how noisy was it stacking the DLS and Blues Pro together?

  22. Burgerman666 on September 3rd, 2010 10:16 am

    Second from the right in the stacking selection? That would be the mighty BSM HS-S Treble Booster. It’s a dead-on copy of the Hornby Skewes Silicon Treble Booster that Blackmore used to get around with. Nice.

    Wow! you do not have any pedals!!! which Box is the Violet/Purple Pedal?
