Great lesson on rwy incursion. These mistakes unfortunately we´re all bound to make. What´s inexcusable is the controller´s position in this matter. When the ual crew noticed they´d done somthing wrong they took correcive aciton and informed the ATS, thus acting in the best possible manner given the scenario. The controller added to the dangerous situation by compounding their mistake with yet a greater one.

2998 had amazing pilots… all pilots are supposed to be like 2998 pilots. Aware and cautious

Her crime (literally) is being “smart”, overconfident, almost ironic. Somehow, in aviation, you invariably pay dearly for that.
    Thank you US2998.

that f____g controller couldn’t just stop for moment to hear what she was told from the ‘lost’ pilot ?

Great presentation, amazing that the tower says that 1448 is nowhere near the runway despite having said previously that she could not even see the plane or the runway herself to confirm the location of 1448. Great job 2998.

I’ve had a similar situation happen to me once. As pilots its important that we understand what the controller is telling other pilots. Its always less fun when I fly in a country where English is not primary because I don’t know what the controller is telling other pilots.

Jeeeeeez that controller is an idiot. The pilot of 1448 repeatedly tells her he is on the active. The video really makes a statement. Pilots be ever vigilant. Stupid things do happen.

Great Job by the USAIR 2998 by holding instead of what the tower said.

I love the video with the animation!

    Thank you

Got something to say?
