    Hey.
    Great video! Congradulations!
    I’m 18 years old and just couple of weeks away from doing my first solo in a c-152 and I’m thinking of trying to film it as well. I have access to a GoPro and a headmount for it but I’m just wondering how you were able to get the audio from the radio chatter onto the video.

    Thanks a lot for your help!! and congradulations!

    I like this video!!! i’m a student pilot as well.
    Its verry cool to see what i can expect during my course.
    I had six lessons now, and i got hooked on flying.
    Good work!! Happy landings ; – )

    @netxero the camera was always mounted inside the cockpit and in either case it was secure enough so it wouldn’t not come off in flight. When I recorded some audio, I made sure I could quickly remove the system in case it interfered with anything (which it didn’t). It helped with my training, because I could review the footage if I thought I did something wrong or could do it better (eg. PFLs)

    Hey that’s pretty sweet. As a student pilot, I like the idea of taking videos of my flying. Just curious though, how well you trust the camera being mounted on the top of the plane like that. I’d be afraid of it falling off in flight or embarrassed if it fell off on the runway.

    @kpoida ah yes, ok. thanks

  13. kpoida on October 15th, 2010 6:09 am

    @TTandN thanks mate. its a GoPro camera and yep I used a suction mount for some of the shots. I also used some of the other standard mounts that come with the camera. Check out the GoPro website and you’ll get an idea of the options..

  21. rova969 on October 15th, 2010 10:23 am

    Awsum editing, any student pilot enjoys lookin round youtube for some good video’s of anything to do with flight training, this is the best I’ve ever seen.
    Best of luck with everything else :), would be great to see a multi or CIFR version
