T-Rex Effects: MUDHONEY II (Stratocaster to Laney VC50 clean channel)
October 1, 2010
www.t-rex-effects.com There’s something really cool about the new Mudhoney II. It’s kind of a mix between subtle fuzz and distortion and sounds great LOUD. I’ve demoed it for this channel with both single coils* (this video) and high output humbuckers and to my ears it eats up both and has a lot of fun in the meantime. Then there’s the obvious added bonus of having two channels (not stackable) and two degrees of gain for each channel. A two channel amp, if you will. Cool. Your thoughts? Cheers, Brett Kingman *The 2006 Clapton Strat I use has had the stock pickups and electronics replaced with Mick Brierley Hand Wound Pickups (see www.brierleyguitarpickups.com.au) and 50’s style wiring and pots.

Cheers
@strybel ya, I was disappointed
Hey burger! Just wanted to tell you that this new subscribeautothing on youtube makes it easy to miss giving you the + ……. but no matter what, you do awesome stuff and please never stop 🙂
WOW
The two in one deal sold me. Saves a spot on the pedal board. The little metal toggle switches feel good rather then the junk plastic switches we see from time to time as well.
I´m GAS:ing for a new dirt pedal that can go into classic 70:ties marshall rock´n roll sound…
i might be in for thisT-rex or the two dirt pedals from Greenhouse that Burgerman also demo´s (Goldrive and Roadkiller)… Hmmm wonder wich one´s cover the most ground if using single coils into classic fender tube amp?
Most of T-Rex pedals sound fairly great,the Bloody Mary being the exception.
that pedal sounds fantastic!
