A2A Simulations on deck with the Berlin Airlift Historical Foundations C97 Angel of Deliverance

November 8, 2010

A2A Simulations is now the official developer of the Berlin Airlift Historical Foundation flight training program for their C97 “Angel of Deliverance, which is a large 4-engine, medium to long range, high altitude, and high speed military transport similar to the Boeing 377 Stratocruiser commercial transport. Their new “Accu-Simulator” is based on the Wings of Silver Boeing 377 Stratocruiser with the Accu-Sim expansion pack for Microsoft Flight Simulator X. Here is a video that gives a “behind-the-scenes” look at A2A Simulations on deck with the Berlin Airlift Historical Foundation and their beautiful Boeing C97 “Angel of Deliverance.”

I cried when my force feedback joystick kicked the can (well… not literally cried). It was so nice because I felt the movements of the aircraft and had overall better control.

It’s a pity there isn’t force feedback yokes. A pilot who has never flown a sim may feel that a spring centered yoke it’s a children toy. In general, it’s a pity there is so little force feedback devices in flight simulation world and so few flight sims using FFB realisticly.

I believe the entire engine is missing. Nice work!
