True, its kind of annoying if you need to be on the other side of the tracks while the train is there but the upside is that Southwest Chief #3 stops in Flagstaff at almost 9pm and the Southwest Chief #4 stops at 5:15am both times are when most people are still in their homes or out walking the town. The downside is the 2-5 minute long freight trains that pass during the day.

I’ve ridden that train from Flagstaff to DC. It was a great ride.

Crazy how the rail crossing gates have to stay down when the train is parked. They should have moved the platform up a little to allow cars to pass on a busy road.
