    My son went through this…along with the waiting it took about two years to finish. He is now doing air ambulance flying in Iraq….naval academy grad ’06.

    Should take about a 15 months i believe…basic fixed wing..advanced fixed wing
    basic and advanced helo
    Saufly Field is about to be reopened for night Helo ops. Last stage in the
    syllabus before you get yer wings

    Just visited Pensacola ..8 month wait to enter the flight syllabus.
    Marines and Navy officers waiting and not too happy about it.

    Got my wings at Whiting in the days of the T28.. Semper Fi

    once you’re a pilot in the service are you allowed to take non-military personnel on a ride in the helicopters or jets?
