Wampler Pinnacle II

The Wampler Pinnacle II should be at the top of your check-it-out list when searching for a ‘brown sound’ pedal. It is especially good with Fender type amps and does a great job with a Tele and other low output single coiled axes, although I’ve chosen to film it with my Floyd Rose Redmond Model 3 which has an ace low output humbucker in the back. Everybody wants some..!

    Hi. How do you compare the new smaller Pinnacle distortion pedal with the Maudio Crunch box. You see, it is very hard to appreciate the difference in a video.Which one would you buy if you need a very nice distortion pedal .Thanks.

    @guitarralaraja I haven’t tried the California (AMT) so I can’t comment, unfortunately. But I can assure you that this is one mother of a pedal when it comes to soloing. One of the best, IMO.

    great pedal, i was trying to buy a AMT california sound because ive heard that it emulates a mic s well, but now i think i want to buy one of this,, any recommendation for soloing stuff?

    What kind of amp are you using? I see you said fender type but was just wondering…. Just bought this exact pedal of Craigslist for $100 and love it but it seems too dark maybe its my crate amp. ?

    ive been tone chasing for the brown sound for years,ive tried countless pedals and when i got this one i slapped myself in the face for not buying it years ago.FUCKING AMAZING!!!perfect for achieving the brown sound and perfect for getting vintage 70’s and 80’s hard rock/metal tones.
