Why Helicopters Are Cool #1: Some Basic Manoeuvres

Trying to show some of the helicopters more unique capabilities, from clips taken during our CPL(H) training. Hope you enjoy it. As always, any comments (positive or negative) are very welcome. Recommend watching in Hi-Def if possible, on full-screen.

    Also why are you doing quickstops so high off the ground and with right turns. If you’re going to do it with a turn you really should be going left, the 300’s tail rotor isn’t good enough and you could easily get a surprise tailwind and 50ft. If you do the whole maneuver at 10-15ft and no turns you will become pretty good at full down autos.

    not to be the safety fag but i can’t help it being a CFI in training and having to slave over lesson plans. They say always do autos over a smooth area incase engine does quit. HAHAHA. FUCK my life. awesome video.

    Yeah KTIX are kind of used to helis as Bristow Academy are based there with 50 or so helis 😉
