BNSF intermodal with distributed power
January 11, 2011
BNSF 5391 is on the point of this 123-car loaded stack train as it descends through Flagstaff, AZ. BNSF 4137 was trailing the lead unit and BNSF 4887 and 4309 were the DPUs. This was the third intermodal of the day that had distributed power. Filmed on 6-24-07 at 1414 hours.

Got something to say?
super cool movie
I was in Montana and the BNSF uses DPUs on the end of their modal trains over Marias Pass.
What type of video equipment do you use in this vid?
Now you know why they stopped using 4-axle power on intermodal trains. They are so heavy now they need DPU.
Love it!
