HardWire SC-2 Valve Distortion

January 18, 2011

www.digitech.com If you’re looking for a versatile, tough, great sounding distortion pedal then you should consider the HardWire SC-2. It has two very useable modes and the tone controls are voiced beautifully. Highly recommended. In fact, I’ve been using it on my board lately and it’s been great.

How well would this pedal work if it put it in front of an almost clean tube amp (laney vc30) on a nice crunch setting and used the Bad Monkey (or similar ts9 clone, maybe the ts7 …) to boost it for solos?

@NeoSoft..Ive been using this pedal for about a year and Its amazing. To boost my leads Ive been using the BBE Boosta Grande. Nice Clean 20db boost for about 80 bucks.

@lewisismad Oh my God, the fact that you would ask such thing makes me question your sexuality. The Boss Metal Zone is the biggest waste of money on God’s green Earth. Go with this 🙂

@bingefeller The Grunge pedal is awesome if you’re playing the right stuff. I use it with my Gibson SG and I love it.

God that Crunch is amazing. The Saturated isn’t bad, but the Crunch is reason enough to buy it. Your reviews are awesome man.

@Darklordbrink Thanks! It’s a killer pedal, that’s for sure. A little unsung, but I think that will change. 🙂

I can’t believe how nicely it cleans up when you lower the volume. It sounds fantastic. Nice Review

  21. Burgerman666 on January 18th, 2011 8:24 pm

@ZenGuy12 It’s supposed to be. It’s a Peter Green mod made by Larry Corsa. Google it. 🙂

  22. ZenGuy12 on January 18th, 2011 8:31 pm

the neck pickup on ur les paul is backwards dude

  23. Burgerman666 on January 18th, 2011 9:18 pm

@MegaFenderstrat Yeah. They’re Manalishi’s. Clones of Peter Green’s PAF’s. Do a search for Larry Corsa and all will be revealed.. 🙂

  24. MegaFenderstrat on January 18th, 2011 9:44 pm

May I be so bold as to ask what pickups you are using in your Les Paul.
