Thank you for your kind comment. A first solo is a truly bitter sweet experience as you are both terrified and overjoyed simultaneously!

Glad you like it. It’s extremely rare to have your 1st solo filmed so I feel very priveliged.

    Hi Adrian.

Yes, Dickie did both my skills and navigation testing. He’s not an easy touch. But then flying is a pretty serious affair so better to be safe than sorry. Best of luck with the remainder of your training.

Superb stuff steve, I’m in tomorrow morning so I will ask if they still have a copy. Did you do your skills test with Dickie?

    Thanks for your comments!

This is a clip from a show called Flying School originally broadcast in February 2003. I was one of 4 students and I appeared in the programme a number of times. This clip is probably my best moment as from then on in I did have quite some trouble with Nav . I am delighted that my video clip has brought you back some of your own cherished memories.

I think Wycombe may still has a copy of the full programme. Its definitely worth watching

    Best regards,
    Steve

awesome stuff Steve… I see you’ve since got your PPL, congratulations! I’m training with wycombe air centre, currently doing nav. Your solo brought back good memories of mine. What program on CH5 was this?
