Oxnard Airport Intro

June 1, 2011

All general aviation airports have a history. This is an introduction to the oxnard airport formerly the Ventura airport. It has been used to train world war 2 pilots to basic flight training. It continues to serve training new pilots out of the various flight schools. The airport also serves regular airline schedules, aerial spraying operations, and rescue services, used by the citizens of Ventura county.

I cut across the runway on my bicycle when I was younger. I got to meet a bunch of the people from airport security…

Thanks. Hope they like it as well, as I tried to capture the essence of the airport and the surrounding community.

Very cool Walter!!! I think I’ll show this at an airport commission/authority meeting to demonstrate the Oxnard pilot’s passion for their airport.
