shortest landing roll evar! 🙂
It does look like this guy was ‘hot dogg’n it, trying to land on the water then quickly taxing it up onto land. I’ve always wondered if one were to land with the wheels down what would happen. I do believe a better wheel design could prevent knuckle heads like this ‘pilot’.
This guy was very lucky to live through this. The exact same thing happened here recently in WA. A seaplane company that previously only flew “Float only” planes purchased a new one with “amphibious floats” like the one in video. They kept the same pilot who for years flew “float only” planes. He took off from hard surface with very talkative passengers and later forgot one little thing that he never had to remember before purchase of this plane. In amphibs check list is CRITICAL. Two dead.
Ok you need to tell all here what you are talking about 😉 GUMP
Gear
Undercarrage
Mixture
Prop
Something that we White Anglo-Saxons aren’t used to…discipline.
It takes a lot of discipline to use those checklists at times…
Thats straight up noob status right there..come on now.
