@james11096 Flying from Tokyo(narita) to Detroit! My dad was the captain so I boarded with the flight crew and made a video quickly before all the passengers boarded! Thanks for watching!!!

    Dear maverick967,
I was wondering how it feels to have a dad as a pilot, do you miss him most of the time because his on flights most of the time. What are some pros and cons of having a farther as a pilot, I would appreciate it if you could answer, Thanks!

  7. ModelAirports on September 14th, 2011 10:39 pm

@maverick967 That’s good, a PTV can substitute boredom in the air!

  8. maverick967 on September 14th, 2011 10:45 pm

@ModelAirports They’re retrofitting all 744s with new coach seat with ptvs and the new lie flat BizElite seats! They plan on being done with them in 2013!

  9. ModelAirports on September 14th, 2011 10:53 pm

No PTV? Delta, you can do better.

@jonahair747meteors6 Yeah that sucks, My uncle is a mechanic at DL in MSP!

  12. jonahair747meteors6 on September 15th, 2011 1:22 am

LOL My dad is a Aircraft Mechanic for them and yeah if i dont get on the first flight then i just get listed on the next one LOL its only happend to me a couple times but my last trip to GRR I was supposed to fly home ona dc9 but there were 2 mechanical problems on aircraft the previous day so all the flights got overbooked i was so mad i had to fly a CRJ-200 home instead of a DC-9

  13. maverick967 on September 15th, 2011 1:44 am

@jonahair747meteors6 I hate that! I was trying to fly to MSP last week when all those storms were in MSP and a few flights cancelled and I was screwed so I just went to MCI instead! For me I dont have a backup flight I have a backup destination! haha
So what does your dad do at DL(Assuming he works for DL)?

  14. jonahair747meteors6 on September 15th, 2011 2:17 am

lol my dad has been working also for about 35 yrs now but when they have problems with aircraft or they cancel i still get screwed from all the people switching to my flight but yeah like you said im also always the #1 person for non-rev

  15. maverick967 on September 15th, 2011 3:03 am

@jonahair747meteors6 Yeah, But my dad has been working with the airline for about 30 years and when I fly on his passes im always near the top of the non-rev list because of his seniority so I havent been bumped off a flight in a really long time! Also we plan out before and look at the flights least likely to fill up at the last second and thats what I fly.

  16. jonahair747meteors6 on September 15th, 2011 3:28 am

flyin non-rev isnt what its cracked up to be if that flight was full u would have been stuck there lol i had my fair share of being caught somewhere

  23. maverick967 on September 15th, 2011 8:10 am
