NAU Road Scholar #5831 “Ropes, Rafts, & Rails Intergenerational”

Offered by NAU Road Scholar (Elderhostel), “Ropes, Rafts, & Rails” is an intergenerational program for grandparents & grandkids. Based in Flagstaff, AZ, the week includes -activities at the NAU Challenge Course -raptor show & outdoor survival skills at the Arboretum at Flagstaff -a raft trip on the Colorado River through Glen Canyon (no whitewater, but plenty of fun) -learning Grand Canyon geology by making a model -a ride on the Grand Canyon Railway, including live music & train robbers -South Rim activities, such as hiking ¾ mile down the Bright Angel Trail & fossil-hunting -exploring the Sinagua Indian ruins at Walnut Canyon For more information, look for #5831 Ropes, Rafts, & Rails at www.franke.nau.edu
