It’s up to the members of the aircraft repair team to ensure that all Army aircraft remain safe and ready to fly. As an integral member of this team, the UH-60 Helicopter Repairer is primarily responsible for supervising and performing maintenance on UH-60 helicopters (also known as ‘Black Hawk’ helicopters). Here are some of the duties of a UH-60 Utility Helicopter Repairer may include – Removing and installing aircraft subsystem assemblies such as engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions, mechanical flight controls and their components – Servicing and lubricating aircraft and subsystems – Preparing aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks – Performing scheduled inspections and assist in performing special inspections
